Welcome to BANGALORE WALKATHON-2010

JAN SAHYOG Bangalore Walkathon-2010   is a platform where we invite people from all walks of  life to come together for the cause of Education. “WALK FOR LITERACY……MAKE A DIFFERENCE” Through Walkathon we intend to create an opportunity for people to come forward and involve one-self to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. It’s a walk for the celebration of Education. It’s not just an event that completes on the day of the walk. It’s a step towards 100% literacy.

We invite you to come forward and extend your valuable contributions towards this initiative, as well as join hands with us and strive to make this dream a reality. The journey has begun. We welcome you to be part of this noble cause. India has the world’s largest population of uneducated children, with nearly half of all children there not attending school. The EDUCATE A CHILD FOR A YEAR program is dedicated to fighting that trend, helping to provide access to education for more children.

“The Walkathon is a way for Jan Sahyog Foundation to show our commitment to making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children”. JAN SAHYOG FOUNDATION is an organization dedicated to the support of education for underprivileged children in India. JSF volunteers believe that education is a critical requisite and an effective catalyst for social and economic change in India. A great potential for JSF is the volunteers who are from different background like IIT’s, IIM’s, IISc, NLSIU’s, MSRIT, MIT (USA), and various professional institutions and organizations like IBM, HP, ACCENTURE, CISCO, MICROSOFT, GOOGLE, ORACLE, GE, INFOSYS, TCS, WIPRO etc. JSF has more than 10,000 volunteers of which 80% are Engineers/Engineering Students. We believe in "Work for cause...not for applause."

An awareness drive on child education and fund-raiser for Jan Sahyog Foundation activities. 10:00 AM, Sunday, 2nd May, 2010 Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore.
